270g room temperature butter
2 large eggs
2 cups powdered sugar
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
4 to 4.5 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (approx. 10-12g) baking powder
1 packet (approx. 2-3g) vanillin (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
180g milk chocolate (for topping)
Directions
- Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the room temperature butter, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanillin, and 4 cups of flour. Knead the mixture into a smooth dough, adding more flour as needed to achieve the right consistency.
- Shape the cookies: Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls (you should get about 40 cookies). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 165°C (330°F). Bake the cookies for 10-13 minutes, or until they are set but still soft. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the cookies to remain tender.
- Melt the chocolate: While the cookies are baking, melt the milk chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.
- Drizzle the chocolate: Once the cookies are baked and cooled, drizzle the melted milk chocolate over each cookie using a spoon or a piping bag for a clean finish.
